In Foz do Douro, where the river meets the Atlantic, the Ocean Boutique Guesthouse was born, a house that breathes serenity, sophistication, and closeness to the sea. The challenge set for New Normal was to create a logo and a graphic universe capable of reflecting this identity and extending it across all touchpoints, both physical and digital.
The starting point was twofold, the movement of the ocean, fluid and constantly transforming, evoking the very experience of being by the sea, the hydraulic tiles of the house, preserving architectural memory and an artisanal detail with strong aesthetic character.
From this encounter emerged an identity that unites tradition and contemporaneity, subtlety and presence.
The logo was conceived as an extension of the sea, the letters undulate, gaining rhythm and their own breath, reflecting the fluidity of the tides. The symbol, inspired both by the patterns of the tiles and the organic forms of the ocean, ensures versatility and memorability.
The colors, in deep blues and elegant neutrals, were chosen to convey calm, sophistication, and a strong connection to the maritime universe.
The new branding was designed to be expansive, easily adapting to room plaques, internal signage, digital communication, and printed materials. Each application reinforces the consistency of the graphic universe, creating an immersive and coherent experience for guests.
The identity of the Ocean Boutique Guesthouse is not only visual, it is sensorial. Like the sea, it surrounds without imposing. It is a branding that breathes, inviting guests to slow down, to contemplate, and to experience Porto in a unique way.
